Not every new roof needs every available roofing component to create a bullet-proof roofing system. Once you’ve chosen your shingle type, shingle color, and a company you trust to install your roof, we can discuss your options on what it will take to create a brilliant roofing system for your home.
Roof Deck Protection: due to the advanced quality of workmanship and products we use we will recommend that you either use 15 lb. felt paper, 30 lb. felt paper, or an alternative GAF solution.
Leak Barrier: because it is common that old roofs fail at the rakes and eves, we typically install WeatherWatch® leak barrier on all rakes and eves to provide extra protection for the more vulnerable areas of your roofing system.
Starter Strip Shingles: Pro-Start® pre-cut starter strip shingles help prevent shingle blow-offs because of their factory-applied adhesive strips. They are a great alternative to what many other roofing contractors do… Cut a shingle in half and nail it down for the starter shingle.
Cobra Attic Ventilation: Cobra® Ridge Vent 3™ helps remove excess heat and moisture from your attic that can raise your energy bills, cause premature peeling of interior paint and wallpaper, and even affect your health.
